For Performers
Can anybody register to sing?
Yes, registration is available to anybody. There are no fees or auditions. Registration does not guarantee a place at each session. However we aim to give as many singers the chance to perform as we can.
What can I sing?
Each session has a theme which you can choose a piece related to. We also have an emerging artist section where any emerging artist can choose to sing any piece of their choosing. Wondering what you can sing? We suggest any piece that falls within the general definition of “Classical Vocal Technique” including things like golden age musical. If in doubt register anyway and our team will be in touch.
Do I need to register for every session?
Yes. Each session will have a different theme. Singers need to register for the individual sessions and themes.
I’m under 18 can I sing?
Yes under 18’s are encouraged to participate. Please note if you are under 18 and are selected to sing you will need to bring a ticket purchasing chaperone with you to the performance and your rehearsal.
Do I need to buy a ticket if I’m selected to sing?
No! Performers on the day will have free entry.
Do I need to bring my own accompanist?
No, Classical Singer Sundays provide you a professional accompanist at no cost to you. We also provide you an opportunity for a rehearsal prior (usually the Friday before).
Can I have extra rehearsals?
The team will advise you your accompanist name. Performers are welcome to contact the accompanist for additional rehearsal time at the accompanist availability and rates. We find most singers are comfortable with 1 rehearsal.
Why do we have to register? Can we just show up on the day and participate like an open mic?
By having singers register before the day we allow our accompanist time to learn the material. It also means our singers can prepare in advance and know what to expect. We can also curate an interesting and diverse program for our audiences by preparing this in advance.
For audiences
Is there food and drink?
